Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
This policy explains what data AIM Engines collects when you visit www.aimengines.com, how we use it, and your rights. We've written it in plain language on purpose — if something is unclear, ask us.
What we collect
When you fill out the contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company name, role, and a message. We also record whether you opted in to marketing communications. We do not collect any other personal information from the form.
When you visit the site: our server logs record hashed IP addresses (SHA-256 of your IP combined with a daily-rotated salt — we cannot reverse this to your actual IP), user-agent class (browser, bot, etc.), the page URL you visited, and the time. At v1 we run no third-party analytics.
Cookies we set: exactly one. A non-tracking preference cookie that remembers your light or dark mode choice. It contains no personal information, never leaves your browser in a useful form to a third party, and is not used for tracking. No advertising cookies. No analytics cookies. No third-party cookies of any kind.
What we do with it
Lead form submissions go to a single private datastore hosted on our own infrastructure and notify Eric directly. We use this information to respond to your inquiry and, if you opted in, to send you relevant updates about AIM Engines.
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. We never feed it into third-party analytics or marketing automation platforms. The information you send us stays with us.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion: Email [email protected] with your request. We'll respond within 5 business days.
Withdraw marketing consent: Reply to any marketing email with "unsubscribe," or email us directly. Consent withdrawal does not affect our ability to respond to your original inquiry.
Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a Sec-GPC: 1 header, we treat that as a signal that you do not want your data used for marketing. Our contact form respects this signal automatically — if GPC is detected, the marketing opt-in checkbox is pre-set to off and cannot be overridden by the form submission.
How long we keep it
Active leads (people we're in ongoing conversation with): until you ask us to delete your data.
Unconverted leads (people who filled out the form but we didn't end up working together): 24 months from the date of submission, then deleted unless you've asked us to stay in touch.
Where it lives
Our infrastructure runs on hardware we control. No third-party processors receive your personal data. Lead data is stored in a database on our own servers, not in a cloud SaaS CRM.
